The St. George Literary Arts Festival is just around the corner!

Spring is upon us in full bloom and summer is quickly approaching. This time of year brings many adventurers to Southern Utah seeking fun in the sun, outdoor festivals, and sports tournaments to enjoy in beautiful weather. One such event is the St. George Literary Arts Festival coming this May 18 and 19th. There are so many reasons to enjoy this particular event but let me just spell out a few.

The Literary Arts Festival will be chock full of fantastic talented writers, published authors, illustrators, poets and much more. The two-day event starts off May 18th at the Eccles Fine Arts Center at Dixie State University. There will be an opening reception and gala event with awards, poetry, dance and the highlight: our keynote speaker Angie Hodapp! If you haven't had the opportunity to hear Angie speak now is the time to come out of the woodwork!

The following day, May 19th, is where the meat of the Festival really hits home in the Snow Science Center on Dixie State University. Twenty-three different Workshops to choose from brought to you by extremely talented professionals. There will be a children's reading time as well as literacy development, publishing, poetry, illustration and much, much more.

If you've ever had inclinations to write or feel like you could use an edge or even if you're already a published author your writing skills can be enhanced and honed by attending the St. George Literary Arts Festival!
